EA in its infinite greed took Bioware Edmonton (Mass Effect dev) and put them on Anthem. The thing that really turned me against Anthem was the sacrifice of Mass Effect. I know MTs are only cosmetic atm, but it still has in-game currency purchasable with with real money. For all the flack Destiny gets, it's a better game than Anthem.

Anthem is presented in 3rd person and you can fly, but the similarities are overwhelming. Anthem is eerily similar to Destiny from aesthetics, to hero class, to game type.

It was way too cinematic and scripted and it honestly reminded me of a more obvious version of the reveal trailer for Rainbow Six Siege.įrom the jump it was obvious to me that EA felt the overwhelming Destiny hype and wanted in. That original trailer was obviously artificial BS finely crafted with post-fx and voice actors added in post-process. I said it was all a sham, particularly the player chat. The reveal was presented as though it was real co op gameplay with organic voice chat all ripped from the actual game. I said that very moment there is absolutely no way it's a 2018 game. In the reveal EA/Bioware claimed it was a 2018 game, i called BS. People disagreed with me every time i ripped into the game and spoke truth, but now everybody can take a hard look at this game and the 64 Open Critic it currently has. I've been hammering Anthem since the 2017 E3 reveal on Microsoft's stage. IamTylerDurden1 1051d ago (Edited 1051d ago )
